The Studios
All my studios are kitted out with the same Mapex Pro M kits with Sabian XS cymbals.
I believe it is good practice to play along to songs and try out things that you have just learned, so we have a library of 4000 songs to choose from.
We also use a Tama Rhythm Watch 100 which is a special metronome for drummers. This is used frequently so that – in the age of technology and computers - students may master staying in time with a click track.
In Bishop's Stortford there is one room at present but in Hoddesdon there are three separate rooms within the same studio complex. Each studio has room for parking and they are both close to train stations and bus routes.
Learn with a friend
In our Hoddesdon studio we offer the choice to“learn with a
friend” or even two friends for that matter.
Our Hoddesdon studio provides facilities for up to three
people to have lessons at one time, whilst each person gets
their own kit and room for the duration of the lesson.
We have the ability to open up the rooms to have
jamming sessions as well as a bit of friendly competition
but we can also shut the rooms to give people to
opportunity to work on the bits they need to.
Learning with a friend provides added fun as well as
encouragement through the learning process, and perhaps
best of all, makes learning cheaper as costs are shared!
If you don’t already know someone who wants to learn don’t worry, we can pair people up who are of equal ability if needs be. Or you can simply persuade someone you know to take up drums rather than another instrument and job done!
