Q: We don’t have a kit. Do we need to get one before we start?
A: No, absolutely not. If you have one, great. If not, it’s something you could look into buying once you progress. However everything we teach you can be practiced at home without having an actual kit. We also have times available where you can hire a kit to practice in one of our studios.
Q: How does your payment systme work. Do we pay per lesson, per term….. how?
A: To make things easier for everyone we do everything monthly. You simply pay the first month via cheque or cash, then we give you a standing order form to fill out, we send it off and voila… Job done!
Q: Will I have to practice for hours everyday?
A: Again, no, not at all. Whatever practice you get done is absolutely fine. Obviously we encourage as much practice as possible. We give practice aids and coaching but we don’t tell you off if you haven’t done it! You move at your own speed.
Q: I would like to become pro, could you teach me all I need to know?
A: Absolutely! We can take you from having never touched a pair of sticks in your life to being one of the top players in the country. That’s a FACT as we’ve DONE IT!
Q: I’m in my 40′s…. is it too late/unusual to want to learn now?
A: Of course not. It’s never too late. We’ve started teaching people in their late 60′s before now. Guy or girl, it’s not unusual and we’ll make you feel right at home.
Q: I have no aspirations of being on stage, or even being in a band. I just want to play for personal accomplishment. Would you still teach me?
A: Yes! We are fully aware that everyone has their own reason for wanting to learn the drums. We’re under no illusion that everyone who comes along wants to turn pro. We endeavor to help each individual get from lessons what they desire.
