It wasn’t too long ago that you’d think of drum lessons and you’ think about a dank, dusty old room with an old man who stank of coffee and cigarettes teaching you on a kit from the early 20th century. (ok…. maybe that was just my own experience?!) However things have come a long way since then.

Our studios are clean and smell good. Well lit and welcoming. Warm in the winter and cool in the summer….. just the way you’d want them : )

Not only do we offer you great lessons, but we have so much more for you too…..

  • Twice yearly “drum recitals” (where you get to air your talent in front of a warm and friendly crowd). These are of course optional. Basically you get to learn a track, duet or solo and get your first (or second or third etc…) performance under your belt. ALWAYS a great atmosphere and appreciative crowd. These are filmed and photographed too so can make an excellent gift or keep-sake.
  • Recording Studio Days – This is where you get to learn a track (written especially for CSDT students) then go into the recording studio to lay it down. You get the full studio experience, one to one time with the engineer and the teacher and you get to not only record what you’ve been practicing but get to learn a little of how studios work etc… You then come away with a set of mixed and mastered CDs to show off to your friends! We have various different packages for this to suit every budget.
  • Drum Kit Rental – We rent out electronic and acoustic kits on a nightly, weekly and monthly basis. With and without insurance, all for very small fees and little deposit. We’ll come to your house to set up, tune up, and give you a run through of the in’s and outs of how they work, and then be on call should you need assistance.
  • Organised Trips to National Drum Shows – Basically what it says on the tin! You get to come with us to any/all of the major drum shows. It just makes the day nicer to go in a bit of a group. And if you’re a parent and you don’t fancy going then we can taker your child along and bring them back. This is only a “friendly and informal” kind of basis so is totally up to your own discretion…. it’s not like a school trip with permission slips etc..
  • Drum-o-meter Competitions – These are held in lessons twice – three times a year. The drumomoter is a device that measures how many hits can be done in a minute. (the target to beat is 1247!). These are loved by all and it’s a great way to mark progress.
  • Drum Kit tuning – You can call us out to your house and we’ll set up and tune up your own kit for you. This usually takes anywhere between 45-90mins so prices do vary, but the average is around £40.
  • We Sell Sticks – We have our own Chris Senior Drum Tuition signature sticks available in 5a and 7a for you to buy in our studios.
  • Drum Play-alongs – These are written and produced by Chris especially for you guys to use in lessons and available to buy too. As Chris writes and produces them they are available at many different speeds therefore players anywhere from beginners to advanced can use them. These can then be used to play along to for recording studio days and drum recitals.
  • School workshops – These vary and are on a request basis but we can send a teacher into the school to do talks or a group based percussion lesson… Anything is do-able, all you need do is ask!
  • Lessons in schools – Though we own our own private studios we do teach in some primary schools so if you are in a school that needs lessons then please let us know and we’ll be able to get a teacher in there for you.
  • Master Classes – These are held by Chris and sometimes his top students.  Covering various different topics regarding drums you can learn about anything from tuning and setting up to gigging prep and solo concepts. Always fun and informative and very reasonably priced.
